You can walk or as many do, get a taxi to the top of the hill and Hamilton Fort. You get a great view and there are a few canons there, as per the pictures, but that is it.

Very small fort, it's really a turret with 2 English and three French cannons. Very limited info and drive up needs an expert to navigate road which is two strips of poorly maintained concrete. We called here as part of an organised tour, spent max...More

Set above the harbour town of Port Elizabeth there are tremendous views of the town, Princess Margaret Bay and Lower Bay

Kind of hard to get to, once there it is a sign and some cannons. Appreciate the history of it but ultimately will take about 10 minutes of time to see :-)

The easy climb to the sight of the old fort was well worth the effort and very achievable in your own time. The views from the top were good those from just before the top were even better. With just a few cannon remaining it...More

We went to this location on a tour. It was nice but it takes about three minutes of time. It is Ok. But don't go out of your way to see it.
