Limu pools is a great family friendly place to snorkel. Stunning turquoise tranquil waters full of aquatic life, from big sea urchins to sea snakes, crabs, colourful small fishes and more.

Totally easy access to what I consider a very safe snorkeling site, under a range of conditions, but, and I emphasize, this comment is for the main first pool only. There are two stepped access ways into the pool, the furthest away being the easier. The pool is full of amazing marine life with lovely corals, beautiful fish, and just great views generally. I visited several times and loved it!

While it is not as atmospheric with beautiful reflecting light as Avaiki Cave, this place is also very photogenic and a lovely place to snorkeling. It is a must-visit spot in this ultra-remote island in South Pacific.

Limu Pools are beautiful- it's hard to believe that places like this exist in nature. It's a very short walk from the road and the path is well marked. There's a little area to the right where they've constructed a bench you can sit at under the shadecloth which is so lovely. The pools are filled with sealife but snorkelling is difficult due to the freshwater which makes visibility poor obscuring much of the beauty underwater. It can also get very rough when not at low tide with strong, rogue currents. Better snorkelling at Utuko Beach but don't miss Limu!

The pools have a shaded area and benches, and the snorkelling is divine! Highly recommended and easy to get to.

Perfect place for picnic, swimming and snorkeling. Pools on Northern and Southern side. Freshwater rushing out of a small cavern of a Northern pool fascinates the tourist of where it came from.

About the only negative I can say about the pools is that they get a bit hazy with fresh water but otherwise they're stunning. Good range of fish, plenty of space for several people, and an underwater arch to swim through if you're brave. The smaller northern pool also has an above water arch which was fun to swim through. Easy access.

This is best at mid tide. Good amount of fish in clear water, just a nice spot. If the sea is rough it gets a bit wild, so wouldn't go on high tide. There is another sport over the back (look for the stairs) which has two small caves you can swim through if tide is right. Lots of fish. Saw plenty of people here with reef shoes that got changed into flippers to swim here as it was really deep, but you needed the reef shoes to get over the rocks. A great place to explore.

So beautiful and clear. 5 min walk down to the pools. There’s two sections, we swam in the second section although the first section is bigger and more space to relax. Definitely a must do!
