We thoroughly enjoyed the steam train journey. We took our German shepherd on it, it is a tight squeeze for us all and nearly took up a carriage between us. 2 teenagers, 2 adults and a big fluffy dog! Quite pricey but a great experience,...More

What a day... the train trip was ok if a little over priced. We jumped off the train at fairbourne and disappointed was an understatement. We hovered around the crossroads where you end your journey and walked back and forth looking for something to do...More

This is a narrow gauge steam railway. It is very popular with families. There are some closed carriages and open so good whatever the weather. The station is very pretty with lots of flowers. Beautiful scenery from the train sea and mountains.

I understand from other Trip Advisor reviews that the train is dog friendly but the cafe is not, for health and safety reasons. There are two cafes at each end of the line, both have outdoor seating.
