We saw a lot of castles while we travelled in Europe, and this was one of our favourites! The man at reception was very friendly and informative. The castle itself is large and the grounds were beautiful. We were able to climb up a number of towers and see the rest of the castle and the vibrant green countryside of... More

We've been here a few times and I thought we'd seen it all, but you explore a bit more each time and end up discovering something new. It's well worth going to if you've got a CADW annual pass.

An imposing feature on the Raglan landscape, this castle is an excellent visit and, in my opinion, definitely one not to be missed if visiting Raglan or the surrounding areas. From the highest to the lowest points there are, on a sunny day, hours of fun to be had for both adults and children alike not to mention the historical... More

A really lovely castle. We enjoyed going in the first week of April when it was quiet save for a school party. There are so many photo opportunities but best of all is the walk to the top of the tower which gives you a perfect vantage point to see the countryside and have a photo of yourself with the... I'm biased, I like castle and I like history. That said this castle is definitely one up on many I have been to. The castle is very easy to find and accessible from the nearby main roads, you can hardly miss it; and there's a lot of parking. We were lucky to go on a sunny day, but we would... More

Raglan's remains are large enough to give a sense of a medieval community and life style. The fireplaces, windows and walls are larger than most ruins and really give you a feel for life at the time.

A really interesting place to spend 1-2 hours, with plenty of levels to explore within the ruins of the castle. There was lots of information was dotted around the site concerning the history of the castle and the family that owned it. Plus the gift shop / entrance block had plenty of books detailing the history also. It would make... More

The price it's a fair 6.50 per adult and the area to cover it's vast. We hope the people working in the camp as medieval people are getting paid enough to do it. If they are volunteers only then it is worth it to visit just to speak to them. They were very nice and they showed us every details... More
