There is a lot of interesting history packed in the museum's small walls (with the quaint house itself being part of the show) that gave my wife and I a much better appreciation for the people who built New Plymouth. My only reservation for not...More

If this is your first trip to GTC, this should not be missed. Lots of local info and history you will probably not fine any place else.

Nicely done inside and outside in the garden with all the statues! Makes you try to remember this all started with the loyalists around 1786.....cool place!

You can spend a little or a lot of time here. Bring reading glasses if you're debating whether or not to do so...there's lots to learn.

Stories and artifacts, photos, etc. of GTC from its earliest days. Lots of family history too. Hard to believe they moved one house 2 or 3 times before it settled where it is now. Pick up some original local art while you are there.

If you are interested in the history of GTC, this is the place to go. Old photos, painting and ship models help tell the story. The kitchen out in the garden is a must see.
