Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Glad we came and saw this place. My kids enjoyed the rock features including the holes in the roof of the cave. The coolest part about it is the historical significance of the place. One of the first stories of European settlers in the area.

The history of the cave is really interesting, and my 9yo enjoyed imagining people seeking shelter in there 400 years ago. You can climb on the rocks, there are little pathways, but it's a little slippery so be aware. I liked this for the education and also because it's shady :)

We randomly discovered Preacher's Cave as we were driving around Eleuthera and it become the best discovery ever! This far out, hidden treasure is a must see for all visitors to the island. The drive to the cave sight is pretty long and chances are when you get out there your phone will have no signal as there are no power lines, but hey, who need's phones in Paradise? On this note, I'd also leave before dark because the roads would be a pretty dark drive. Anyway, please check out Preacher's Cave as it also provides historical background the island and some of the earliest settlers The Eleutheran Adventurers.

Preachers Cave is a must see on the island. It used to be secluded and a perfect getaway. We love the pink beach.

No spelunking necessary. This easy access cave in northern Eleuthera is a nice quick stop. Combine it with a stop by the nearby Sapphire Blue Hole, or after a boat charter from Gene's Bay Dock. They are all within a mile or two of each other.

You just drive right up to it and not much to see or explore. Lots of mosquitoes! I wouldn't waste your time. Same with the Sapphire Hole.

It was a very shallow cave from what I saw. IF there was any more to it you would have had to crawl through a tiny place, which I’m not comfortable with. The path is fine for jogging strollers or beach carts. There is a nice beach at opposite end of the parking lit down a small path. The beach photo is the beach right next to the cave. The other two pictures are the cave.

Stopped at Preacher's Cave as part of our drive to the north end of the island. It's free and not too scary to walk inside and check out the place where the first settlers took shelter - Puritans coming from Bermuda who shipwrecked on the nearby Devil's Backbone reef. There is a beautiful beach nearby and the Sapphire Blue Hole is worth a stop too.

If you are at the North End of Eleuthera it is worth stopping by this cave. Our kids enjoyed exploring the cave and discovering the natural light shafts that help illuminate the cave. Interesting history associated with the cave as the first British settlers took refuge here. That being said the cave is fairly small and can be explored in a few minutes and compared to other caves around the world not that special. It didn’t help that there were used condoms lying in the parking area.
