During my stay in Abaco, I rented a car so that I could visit other settlements on the island. My very favorite was Sandy Point Public Beach. Several bone fishing lodges down here. Quiet place, not to much happening and you will need to rent a car to get down there!

Sandy Point is all the way south in Great Abaco. It can be a long drive if you start from Treasure Cay and you also stop at other places that can be one, two or more miles from the main road. When you arrive you see a local settlement and a long stretch of beach which is more for snorkelers... More

being a small town on the end of point, if you stand in the middle of town, you can see the sea on three sides of you (the town is only about 3 blocks wide at the point).
