When we were there it was suppose to be down for a week before we got there. Still down our entire week. Had to pay for Taxi's and shuttles.

The ferry is great when it's working. However, it seems to often not be working. To make matters worse, they don't post a sign, so you could just be waiting for a ferry that will never come.

As of 3/11 the ferry was going to be out of commission with an engine problem Duration at least one week. If staying on opposite side of channel ferry was the best way to get to Port of Lucaya. Dampen way for transportation.

t was $12 for two of us round trip. They always left on time. They didn't drive recklessly. Satisfied with this as taxis were so expensive there ($25 from the airport to Taino Resort!)

We took the ferry from Port Lucaya to Taino Beach for the bonfire. The Captain was courteous and professional. His boat runs perfectly on schedule. It's a restful, scenic 6 minute ride.

The ferry takes you from a landing near Taino Beach to the marketplace. The ride is fun through channels connecting several resorts and marinas. Very pretty at sunset.

Nice ferry boat, nice pilot, short ride. Service one way each hour: You just have to be there when they leave or you'll be waiting.
