I enjoyed this Marketplace. They had great deals. I will definitely have to come back on a Tuesday or a karaoke night.

It was fun going through the shops. The people were friendly and helpful without being pushy. There were crafts, souvenirs, food, jewelry, pharmacy, and cozy little bars.

The exteriors of the buildings are neat, but there's really not much for purchase souvenirs are more of the same. There are some good places to grab a drink around here though.

Our family had a good time here. Nice place to shop for souvenirs and to get a bite to eat. Many of the vendors had the exact same merchandise, so after 4-5 stops, we didn't feel the desire to look much further. Would still recommend...More

Straw Market had fun merchandise. We ate at Subway. Otherwise shopping was typical island fare. Seemed like good restaurants.

Fun place to shop and get your souvenirs. Just remember the dollar and Bahamian money is the same value so don't expect a good rate. The prices are high and the same as if you went to Disney for souvenirs. $20-$50 for nice souvenirs. Cheap...More

Watch your wallet, they tell you prices then try to charge you more. Harass you the entire time to buy more. Take american money and give back bahamian money.

I don't think most of the shops open much before 10 am...but there are lots of taxi's and taxi vans, etc at the port. Is only about a 15-20 minute trip to Port Lucaya, and I think about $10 round trip.
