Wonderful!

We took a cab to the Rand and it was well worth the trip. Very nice paths and we saw some wildlife, particularly turtles in the water feature. Place could use a bit of work but that does not detract from the visit. A must see.

Nice nature walk in the middle of the island

Nice walking trails. Beautiful pond in the center that has lots of turtles. Signage for the plants and trees you are viewing is lacking, but still a pleasant way to spend the day. A nice museum and library is in the visitor center, as well as an exhibit space that had an art show there when we visited. Free parking and only $5 entrance fee. Great side trip

5$ entrance fee. It’s a non profit organization. Very small walk, with not much to see aside from trees and plants. It’s nice piece of green land that I understand needs to be maintained. Very few animals present. Did not see any birds other than the Bahamian parrot they had in the cage.

First Stop on our Island Tour
Jan. 2019
Very informational about the plants on the island that the locals utilize for different things.
A few animals that are rescues that were injured and cannot return to the wild.
It is small and does not take long to walk through.

Beautiful scenery and waterfall.

At $5 per person, not a bad deal. Place has fallen into being unkept and very few of the bushes are labeled.

Christian M.'s review says everything about the place that I'd say. Despite what the guidebooks say, there are no tours--not for the last couple of years. The people who work here are happy to talk about the place, the plants, and whatever else coms up in the conversation. We bought some of the neem lotion and other products as souvenirs, although they are available in pharmacies and other gift shops.

Beautiful and Educational
Mar. 2018 • Couples
This is a great place to learn about the geography and ecology of Grand Bahama. It's not a botanical garden (that's more what you will find at Garden of the Groves.) This is a conservation area, with an abundance of trees and other plant life. The grounds are beautiful and the staff take their time to teach you the island's natural history, changes in the ecosystem, uses of native and invasive plant species, etc. For just $5 you learn a lot, and it's a gorgeous walk through the grounds.

Fun Day for All

Nice visit. Informative presentation about the vegetation and animals of Grand Bahama. It is a short visit so is good for kids. It is a small venue but when combined with another excursion it works well.

Nice little nature walk!
Mar. 2018 • Couples
It’s a short walk... took us about 45 mins. Nothing amazing so see but we saw wildlife and they have injured animals to see as well. They also have a nice nature center with plenty to look at. For only $5, it’s def worth the money!
