This was indeed a once in a lifetime experience! We booked the 'encounter' at $85 per person (2 adults and a 6 year old), but my 3 year old was free. The ferry ride to the private island went right by the huge cruise ships, only adding to the adventure. Once there, we had a short orientation about the dolphins... More

I love this experience. It’ll be a wonderful memory for my lifetime. People working there were very nice and most importantly, the dolphins seemed very happy there. The trainer said the dolphins were not locked in by the fence, but the fence was used to prevent predictors. The dolphins could easily leap over and go out to the open water... More

I've always wanted to swim with a dolphin, but "down-graded" my dream so that I could take my 3 year old with me. We decided to try the close encounter at the Blue Lagoon. What a phenomenal experience. We both loved it and got so much from this experience. Our trainer was very informative, although she often sounded bored. I... More

This was definitely the highlight of our entire trip to the Bahamas. The ferry ride took about 20-30 minutes which was a little long but in the end, it was worth it once we arrived. The trainers are very humorous and the dolphins were completely cooperative when we visited. We didn't go for the swim but I propably wouldn't have... More

I had the opportunity to participate in the "Swim with the Dolphins" program last Friday. It was an unforgettable experience, and I highly recommend it. I have worked with animals in varying capacities for most of my adult life (in veterinary hospitals, as a zookeeper, etc.). Whenever I participate in a program like this, I always worry and am always... More

After reading all the positive reviews, I went into this attraction two weeks ago (Oct. 2006) expecting good things but came away not as happy. We had problems that could have been avoided. In the end it is a lot of money for a few minutes of interaction. I'll start with the positives: 1) Beautiful setting 2) Dolphins are beautiful,... More

We did the "encounter" for $85 and absolutely loved it! There is a brief orientation and then you are broken up into groups. You take turns getting onto a platform in the water. You get to rub the dolphins belly and back, touch its teeth, dance with it, hug it and kiss it, and feed it a fish. I could... More

While on our first trip to Nassau, we visited Dolphin Encounters on 1/26/05. Being an animal rights activist, I was somewhat skeptical and hesitant to fall into such a "tourist trap." We also have two toddler boys, ages 2 and 3, and did not want to pay for the encounters not knowing whether they would cooperate and/or be scared of... More

My wife & I have been going to the encounter for over 10 yrs. Mostly all of the encounters, we have brought a group of our friends with us. This trip was no exception. Everyone thought it was "FANTASTIC" !!! If you don't come away from the encounter with a deep feeling of joy and happiness you receive from the... More

We (2 adults and 2 kidss age 11 each) just got back from our vacation in Nassau, Bahamas. We spent 6 gret days in the bahamas (8/12 thru 8/16/2003) I would Highly recommend swimming with the dolphins, you have a choice of close encounter which is $75 per person or the full swim which we did for $145 per person...
