The beach is clear and sandy and the reef on the west end is great for snorkeling. Lots of rays and a few turtles. Hit this beach then continue on to solomon. Hike is easy .5 miles total.

This beach used to be deserted, but now boats bring snorkelers and others to spend the day. It's a lovely setting, but there is a fee also for use of chairs, etc. Good snorkeling.

It was an easy hike on Lind Point Trail to get to this beach (or you can take a taxi I suppose). It isn't big and there is only a little snack hut with some alcohol and snacks. The sand is nice and soft and...More

You can park in the Caneel Bay resort for $20. If you spend $20 at the Resort, you get free parking. A $5 shuttle will take you to this beach or you can walk for no charge. On this beach, Caneel Bay allows you to...More

This beach is a pristine white sand beach. Many spots to cover up for shade and a short walk to a trail in the forest.

I visited this beach while taking the Virgin Islands EcoTour Kayak, Snorkel and Hiking adventure. The beach is just one of many beautiful beaches on St. Johns. There is a fee if you want to use any of the lounge chairs, but you're free, of...More

This beach was nice, but NOT as nice as others on the North Shore. Snorkeling was okay, not great. Not many fish, no turtles, no rays. . . much better snorkeling spots elsewhere. Even though the $20 parking fee can be waived, it still can...More

Beautiful beach but snorkeling isn't the best, this is accessed via a short 1 mile hike down lind point trail.......pay attention to when the cruise ships are in because they take snorkelers from STT over to honeymoon and solomon to snorkel.

This is a beautiful spot! The beach is very nice (but did get quite crowded). This is the best shore snorkeling you will find in the region. But to see really good coral and fish, make sure to take a boat trip. There is also...More

Hi there! Where did you get on the ferry? Was it the ferry that goes through redhook? We are going on a cruise and are trying to get to St John from St Thomas avoiding redhook. THanks for any info you can provide!!! Janis

Red Hook is the best route. There is another long ferry ride out of Charlotte Amalie, but it is also more expensive.
Are there umbrellas and beach chairs on honeymoon beach for rent?

No umbrellas, but there are lots of shaded areas, as well as a pavilion. The chairs are free to sit in - I think the two "restaurants" provide them.
