You definitely need a 4 wheel drive jeep to get there but it's worth it. There are never any crowds due to the remote location, the bugs are not bothersome and it's got all you need for a day at the beach

If you rented a Jeep or other capable vehicle take the drive to this very out of the way beach. Short walk after the bumpy drive. Really peaceful place to spend the day. And after go to Skinny Legs and grab a great Cheeseburger along...More

The road to this beach is rough but passable if you drive slow. You will see tons of crabs along the way. We saw deer and a mongoose too. White sand beaches with hardly no one there. There are friendly fish that like to "tag...More

This bay is in the National Park, and there are no facilities, bars, or other distractions. The water is warm and clear, the coral is great and it is uncrowded. The crew was reluctant to leave. Other than snorkeling and swimming, there is not much...More

We did both Great and Little Lameshur and while Great had better snorkeling the beach at Little Lameshur is gorgeous. Easy sand entrance and some rocks out in the middle where we spotted an octopus in its home. This a great secluded place to spend...More

This beach was great for the location and being away from people but to get to it, one has to go over gravel road that has many many pot holes and it's a less than comfortable ride. However the trek is worth it as the...More

This was our favorite beach we visited during a week stay on the island. The road is tricky and some regular sedans made it fine but I was glad we were in a 4-wheel drive Jeep with good ground clearance. We arrived early, found a...More

This was another snorkle area that did have some people - but not many were snorkling -- which is a shame because the fish were plentiful!!

But what a beach at the end! Soft sand, good snorkeling, trash cans, shade, picnic tables! In past years we have been the only one there, but today many people braved the road and enjoyed the beach. Great hikes there too!

I'm going to be staying here in the beginning of February. I work out almost 5 days a week. Is there a gym nearby, maybe in town?
