Excellent beach right off the road, easily accessible and so much wildlife to see, donkies, deer, iguanas, chickens, are abundant on island. Maho is a great place to also see sea turtles and various other creatures close to shore.
Parking on the inland side of the road has been expanded. Work was being done to clear out some of the vegetation damaged by the 2018 hurricane, and word has it that a small concession hut will be built at some point. Until then, bring...More
We took car ferry from STT to STJ two days during our trip and stopped both days at Maho Beach. Snorkeling was great, saw lots of turtles and a couple of sting rays. More fish was found at Trunk but not any turtles there. Nice...More
We saw dozens of sea turtles here and even a few stingrays! Parking was easy (although it was a Monday) and the beach was very clean. Definitely recommend stopping here on your journey through St. John and doing some snorkeling.
This crescent beach is wider than some on the island, so there was plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the views. We weren't as lucky as our guest-house neighbors who swore they caught up with turtles as they snorkeled on the right-hand edge...More
Any place in Cruz Bay is good depending on what style of food you want. Please take the ferry from Red Hook and do not drive over via the car ferry. They are not plenty and they are needed to bring cargo over and trash out... More
Any place in Cruz Bay is good depending on what style of food you want. Please take the ferry from Red Hook and do not drive over via the car ferry. They are not plenty and they are needed to bring cargo over and trash out. There are open air taxis that take you to Maho. There is nothing but beach at Maho. Our favorite in Cruz Bay is Longboards
