My husband and I loved this beach so much!! It was a hike, but after you got there it was so worth it. Bring some brews and snacks and stay the whole day, barely anyone there and you can snorkle and it was honestly the best beach.

We walked from Cruz Bay Ferry to Salomon Beach. The trailhead is by the Historical Museum. It's about a mile or so on the trail. We took the upper trail and got a great view of the bay at the lookout spot. There were only about 15 people on the beach. The only way to get there is hike or... More

So if you don't mind hiking a few miles on a fairly easy, but wooded path from Cruz bay or Caneel Bay, this little beach is what you would imagine a "Hidden Beach" to be. No facilities, bring everything you need. Caneel Bay resort is not very far if you want to grab lunch there or catch a cab back... More

I see some comments about the hike being too long but it's really not far at all. Because of the location, it can get a little rough but it's so pretty that it's worth the effort.

We were staying in Cruz Bay on this trip and didn't rent a vehicle (next time!). I wanted a beach that we could walk to on the days we didn't want to take a taxi. A friend told me about Salomon, and I'm so glad he did! We went twice, once hiking the lower trail, and once the upper (while... More

What an incredible little slice of heaven!!! This beach is about a mile hike via the Lind Point Trail. The trail starts just outside the visitor center, which is a short walk off to the left from where the ferry pulls in at Cruz Bay. I wouldn't call this a difficult hike, my husband and I did it in flip... More

The hike in was longer than we wanted to do while carrying chairs and towels, snorkel gear and cooler. We decided to hike in just to get a sense of this beach and to see if we wanted to go back to it with all of our gear. We had heard that it was a very quiet beach but I... More

This beach is worth the hike. It has the prettiest palms - LOOKS LIKE A SCREENSAVER!! Also pretty good snorkeling off to the right.

A great beach with no road access, hike or boat in only. Even though it is the closest beach to Cruz Bay, it is not always busy due to the hike. Often confused with Honeymoon Beach which has services, Salomon has none. Sometimes folks go topless or totally nude, although that is not legal in the USVI. The nearby structure... More

Beautiful, quiet beach with bowing palm trees and beautiful calm waters. A hike via Caneel or the headland. You can park at Caneel Bay Hotel and get a refreshing gelato after your visit.
