Quiet and beautiful

We spent a day at Gibney Beach and found it to be beautiful and peaceful. It is a short swim from Hawksnest and is a local social spot for locals.

We went early one morning at the recommendation of our charter captain. We grabbed one of the few spots near the gate (after driving past it a couple times). We enjoyed our breakfast (N. Shore Deli) on the beach and took a bunch of pictures around the tire swing. One other family stopped by while we were there but that... More

This beach has beautiful soft white sand. You can walk out really far and the water is still waist level. The kids loved the tire swing!

I almost hate to rate this beach because I don't want people to know about it, but what a hidden gem! My husband and I went here on our last day after getting to Hawksnest and finding it to be super crowded and with no shade. I looked across the water and asked the people next to us which beach... This is a pretty beach and has a tire swing that goes out over the water. You could swim to this beach from Hawksnest. The parking is enough for three cars and that’s it. You park at this large iron gate and walk through it down to the beach. There’s okay snorkeling on the right side – mainly large structures... More

Such a cute spot for pics. We took pictures of our son and bride after the wedding on Hawknest Beach. Easy hike down in. The pictures of the bride in her dress on the swing are great. The bummer is that somewhere either on this little beach or up where you park or back at the 2 stops we made... More

This is by far my favorite little beach to go to get away from people. The only reason we knew about it was because it's right across from the house we were staying in. Otherwise it's not advertised at all and there's no signs about it. There's only room for about three cars to park at the gate. So definitely... More

Nice Secluded Spot. only 3 parking spots access this location. that being said it allows privacy and space if that what you are looking for. It is on the east side of a sheltered bay (Hawksnest) short walk down the paved drive to the beach with good snorkeling on the right and relaxing waters in front.

Lovely beach and easy to get to for those travelers that are not interested in a hike, however more private due to limited parking. Waters are still crystal clear and the sand is soft and white.

Took a ride out there yesterday. Parking for 3 to 4 cars only which is nice you won't be dealing with crowds here. Just a bit of a walk down. A very private beach besides the cottages located there so don't wander in the interior area. Water is warm and beautiful. Did some snorkeling and saw some amazing sea life!... More
