Seeing how nature has influenced the way we live, farm, mine and enjoy our leisure time is amazing. Interpretation really makes things come to life and the different layers of ancient and recent history are revealed. Well worth a visit, even if you don't think you're into rocks and waterfalls. How about industry? Amazing views? Welsh food and language? Nature?... More

The nature reserve is about 1 mile from Craig-y-Nos on the hill just above Penwyllt. On the site on remains of stone and brick quarries both of which are out of bounds. This was booked for a family wedding and was awfully organised. This is a tented site with various standing tents, wigwams etc.We were double booked and given worse accommodation and told there was nothing else. There were plenty of other free wigwams available. The Waterfall Centre is great for all to visit at Pontneddfechan,giviing the full history of the planet.Fronm the forming of the Earth to the archaeology of this area.
