Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Bluebeards Hill is dominated by the large timeshare complex, Bluebeard’s Castle Resort, and not much else. While at the summit of the hill, near the center of the complex, there is an old watchtower leftover from Danish colonial days which has been converted into a museum and renamed Bluebeard’s Castle, it can only be toured Mondays at 5:30pm and Fridays at 10:00am. Also located at the summit near the center of the complex are several worthwhile restaurants, open to the general public, that also offer exceptional views of the city, cruise ship dock and harbor. The restaurants are the casual Life’s a Breeze open daily 8am – 4pm serving breakfast and lunch and Cabana Bar open for dinner and Happy Hour starting at 5pm, Wed-Mon; the more formal Banana Tree Grill open for dinner at 5:30pm Tue-Sun and Room with a View open for dinner at 5:30pm Mon-Sat. Staying at the timeshare, we had the opportunity to try each of the restaurants and our favorite was the Banana Tree Grill. If you decide to take in a good meal with excellent views, you will want to come by car or taxi as the climb up the hill is long and very steep.

You can see the downtown and surrounding areas of St. Thomas. The sailboats in the bay vie with the cruise ships for sightseers' attention.

We were here on a Sunday when things were closed up. But it was a wonderful view and the area is kept well.

We enjoyed our walk around Charlotte Amalie, and up Blackbeard's Hill. There is a good view from up there. There are signposts to follow

very accommodating on a short notice. Our room was huge and had just been refurbished. We had a great deck overlooking the harbor. Several restaurants on site and a very nice swimming pool.

It was scorching hot the day we visited. It would be nice if they had more food and drink stands in the vicinity.

Great meal, must have a reservation! A little pricey. Dress up!
Has a lovely view of the city and harbor if you can get an outside table

Rooms have been updated in Hill 1 & 2. Great staff, very friendly and helpful. Not on the beach but right in the center of it all.

This was an inexpensive activity that offered a free rum tasting. We explored the whole castle...including the 99 steps! It's a must see with breathtaking view of the harbor.
