Granted we were visiting in off season - but we had no issues with the Ferry. We walked up - purchased tickets and was able to board quickly. And... they were patient in waiting for people who straggled on to the dock and the last...More

Reservations! Ha! Get there at least one hour in advance and try to get one of the large boats not the small one that they pack you in like a sardine!

Checking in is a rush yet they take forever to leave the dock and when you get to Road Town all the luggage has to come off before you get to stand in a long queue to enter the coutry.

Did not disappoint. On time, very comfortable and reasonable on pricing. Have taken this ferry many times to/from STT and BVIs. . . only issue is always clearing customs on the BVI side but this is not the ferry's fault. Highly recommend.

You do customs when you leave the boat. If you get off at Tortola, do it there. If you stay onto virgin gorda, will do it there.

It can be close. The ferry should take 45-50 minutes. Then they have to unload all the luggage before you can get off. That took 15 minutes the day we took it. Then you have to clear customs which is another 10 minutes... More
