This area is the hood of St. Thomas. There are drug dealers in the corners and the area is run by a gang. It is a historic part of Charlotte Amalia but do not go without a local guide!!!

My wife was not happy that I dragged her here on her vacation. It wasn't that bad. Very colorful, historic houses and businesses. I've seen way worse in New Jersey. Don't think I'd venture out here in the dark, but during the day it's not...More

Don't go there. There is nothing attractive in this area. There is alot of small bars and people are normally out on the streets late at night

I grew up in savan and the only reason a tourist would need to go through there is if they are going to solberg the danish chalet or the harbor view hotel. There is an alternate route through the back way. Outside of that there...More

I was born and raised in St. Thomas and Savan is a place that local people would not even go to unless they 1. live there or visiting someone, or 2. want to get in trouble. Savan, known previously as the "Savannah," is far from...More

Savan is definitely not for Tourists. It's towards the western end of Main Street. You are likely to have a bad experience if you wander into that part of town.. So simply stay away..

Filled with history? Perhaps. But this is NOT a place to visit. Tourists are definitely not welcome, and the locals avoid it. Don't go here. Just don't.
