We had a wonderful private catamaran tour of the island on a beautiful day. Great spot for snorkeling and a very nice white sand beach and some shade for a picnic lunch. Captain Carl did a great job on the catamaran.

Our boat trip out to buck island was a lot of fun, with beautiful fish, sharks! and a delicious bbq after the snorkeling was done. Recommended.

The underwater snorkel trail was super cool! The reef is beautiful and there are signs on the ocean floor for you to read as you follow the trail. I was hoping to see more sea creatures so was a bit disappointed about that. We did...More

Snorkling was fantastic. Emily, was a great teacher and guide. Best of all was the Buck Island beach itself...its very clean, beautiful and sacred. I enjoyed it immensely, so did my husband and my 15 year old son

We booked on Big Beards, for full day cruise. It was amazing. Captain Mike and Alison, did a great job, with the boat. Had a great day on the water, snorkeling. Love the island. Well worth the $. Faith

Snorkeling at Buck Island has been on my bucket list for years, ever since our first trip got canceled ten years ago due to weather. Fortunately, this time around the weather was perfect. The part of the reef you can actually snorkel in is really...More

This is a special spot if you like water. The snorkeling is amazing with so much life underwater. Then if that wasn't enough, Turtle Beach, where the sand is so soft. Take the trip on one of the many boats that go there every day.

I admit I was very disappointed with the snorkeling in St. Croix until we went to Buck Island. The fish, the coral, the sand, the water. All of it was unbelievable and left us absolutely breathless. Definitely worth the money and time to visit.

This is an amazing place. Great snorkeling on the reef. The softest sand on the beach. And so much life.

First part of the trip was Turtle Beach which is on the leeward (calm) side of Buck Island. Michael and Tito were fabulous in getting everyone geared up, comfortable, and capable in the water. While being fun too of course! Then we went to the...More

Snorkeling only. No diving allowed. Access by boats with permits only. There are several tour companies who go to Buck Island, ranging from $35 to $70 for a 3 hour tour. $70 is too much, in my opinion.

There are a number of tour companies who leave from Christiansted. Check them out individually. You can get taxis easily from Fredricksted to Christiansted at any time.

Yes. It is a gradual dip. You can snorkel off the beach or at the underwater park. The underwater park is probably 30 feet deep- but you will never be far from the boat. Buck Island is absolutely amazing. We have traveled... More
