The sand is pure white, the water is shallow and so clear at Chalk Sound that I could sit for hours and just enjoy the serenity and the view. Be sure to visit Chalk Sound when you are in Provo.

By far one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. I highly recommend at least driving over to the area and seeing the views, it's truly spectacular. We drove directly to Las Brisas restaurant, which is part of Neptune Villas. They rent kayaks,...More

Absolutely worth the trip...a must see!! WE rented a car for the day, and drove over to the other side of the island, only about 20-30 minutes. We went straight to Las Brisas Restaurant/resort, where you can rent kayaks. Unfortunately, we had a cloudy, windy...More

We rented a car for the day and this was one of the highlights of the day. Very picturesque. We couldn't always see the view from the road but did find some view points.

The view from the top of Sapodilla Hill is incredible, you can view Chalk Sound and the Ocean. It can be a little tough to get to the top of the hill in sandals, but we did it and it was worth it. The beach...More

Stayed in a house on the Sound and loved the remoteness of it. We kayaked, sailed, and just thoroughly enjoyed the view while we enjoyed our morning coffee.

We spent a half day on Chalk Sound during our trip to Provo. From TA we knew to rent kayaks from Las Brisas restaurant. We kayaked out and around the sound and the small islands. Seagulls had recently had their babies and did not like...More

We (a family of four-2 teenagers 15+18) rented a car and had lunch at Las Brisas, which is right on Chalk Sound. Probably the MOST beautiful view I've ever seen (I'm 50!).

This is by far the most beautiful place on the island! Pictures do not do this area justice. If staying on other parts of the island I would highly recommend renting a car for the day and visiting Chalk Sound!

Hire a car and go to Chalk Sound. This, for me, is what Turks and Caicos was about. The most breathtaking ocean and sandy beach. All the beaches are gorgeous (and are all public access) but I must be telling you that Chalk Sound is...More

I wouldn't say it's less breezy on Chalk Sound. We spent a lot of time on Taylor Bay Beach which is close to Sopadilla Bay. When we were there last month it was just as breezy on Taylor Bay as it was on Chalk Sound.

One more thing, Chalk Sound isn't ideal for young children, but Taylor Bay, which is right next to ChalK Sound, is!! Taylor Bay is hands down our favorite beach on the island. The 1/2 mile stretch of powder sugared sand and... More
