My husband and I have stayed in Grace Bay a few times and it never fails to keep amazing me. Downtown Provo is wonderfully quite small, charming and peaceful. I love the shops, restaurants and especially the great grocery store that has everything you could need. My favorite stop, other than the beaches off of downtown, is Potcakes rescue! What... More

"Downtown" on Provo is different from most places! Viva la difference, tho, as one goes to Provo to enjoy a more laid back, less commercial atmosphere than on many of the more developed islands. Basically it is 2 small shopping centers across the street from one another, about 15 minutes from the Grace Bay area. The "must see" shop/gallery with... More

Very safe, lots of restaurants and shopping. Short walk from our hotel room. There is also a supermarket nearby.

Providenciales (or "Provo," as it is known) is a wonderful island with stunning beaches, gorgeous turquoise water, friendly folks, and a variety of yummy restaurants. But, the downtown area is not its strength. Downtown features some shopping, and since the island is relatively small, you're never too far from a beach or restaurant. But downtown itself is hardly a destination.

Small downtown area, but that's how we like it! You won't find any chain restaurants and chain shops from the U.S., and the downtown streets are very quite for a tourist area. If you are looking for a quiet location to eat, shop, walk, and bike this is the place. Most resorts are also right in this area, but for... More

A hand full of shops and restaurants,a cafe and grocery store. Very expensive shopping and dinning. Prices are double what they are in the states. Island scoops is a nice ice cream shop. Mammas is a cheaper souvenir shop and Bella Luna has good brick oven pizza which is nice when you get burnt out on sea food.

Not as much of a tourist area as I had hoped. Plenty to do and see on the island though, just not as much as I was expecting downtown. The Island itself is beautiful with great beaches and water! Plenty of outdoor activities. Great visit overall. Plenty of restaurants as well. Great place to just relax and get away!

Our family vacation in January 2015 in the Providenciales was interrupted by a robbery. The robbers broke windows to gain access to the rented home in the Grace Bay area. Cell phones, tablets, jewelry and easy-to-carry but personally valuable items were stolen. The lost pictures and personal items is what hurts. Thankfully we avoided confronting the burglars and did not... More
