A stop on a all day tour of Tobago. Only spent a very short time. However, I can see why it was voted the #6 beach in the Caribbean.

Called into this his bay whilst on a drive round the island. Stopped for about an hour for swimming and snorkeling. Was very quiet but we felt quite safe. Some locals were fishing the bay and that was interesting to watch. Worth a visit

Too late for you I know, but we found it pretty safe. Parked in free car park by beach and took all valuables with us. Not aware of any problems when we were there.
