I always love visiting the country area. The breeze is so refreshing and The view is worth the drive. You can take a rental and patrol stop and take pics of the beautiful water wheel on the way up. Just be careful on the road...More

Came here for a music event and Tobogganing drumming. The locals really immersed themselves in our music genre and then showed us their skill on the drums and carnival stilt walker. A British actress apparently has a home in this region so I was told.

Nice beach. Some fun waves, nothing too big. But just rough enough to throw a 93 year old about a bit. We all enjoyed it!

We ate hot bread from the clay oven with hot oxtail soup from a lady selling from her car. Exactly what you need in 30 degree heat on a beach sitting in a rented deckchairs. You can take the girl out of Yorkshire........

Castara Bay is where to go to get the real Caribbean vibe, a traditional fishing village where the tourists blend in with the locals even helping to haul in the catch if the day. We loved our holiday based at this village. Lots of places...More

I loved Castara. Stayed at Toad Heights and loved the views. If you want to swim, lounge, eat, walk, and generally kick back in a tiny corner of paradise, go to Castara. Don’t expect resort style amenities. Just be prepared for nature and good food...More

Lovely beach but a bit run down. Spent a couple of hours here but not a lot to do. Wanted to visit a beach bar but the weather although very hot the beach was not accessible as there was 10ft swells.

This is a very small village with not too many tourists. The locals are mostly fishing or run small businesses. The roosters are very actively singing all hours of the night. The water is supposed to be generally calm and swimmable but we hit a...More
