About
Tobago's most popular beach. Located in the south west of the island. It is easily accessible from the airport and many hotels. A host of activities makes it easy to spend an entire day at the facility and still have all your needs met. A variety of restaurants, bars, water sports and shopping awaits you. Or just relax at the beach which is patrolled by life guards. Pigeon Point Heritage Park features an iconic thatch roof jetty that is reminiscent of an unspoilt Caribbean and relaxed way of life. Lose yourself in the beauty of the park and then find yourself in the serenity of your surroundings. A must do while you are in Tobago.

- Laura G45 contributionsNice BeachNice busy beach, locals sale some souvenirs, women sale some local fruits, for sun beds need to pay. Safe beach, you can leave your stuff nobody touch it. Locals very friendly and helpful. You can got there local trips such as glass boat tour, or tour to Nylon PoolsVisited October 2023Travelled with familyWritten 28 October 2023
- TClaytonClementon, New Jersey38 contributionsGreat beachA must go. We decided to go to this beach as Tobago was one of our port stops. We caught a taxi right outside of the port. The drive was about 25mins. There is a beach fee of approximately $3.50pp (USD). Once we were at the beach we were able to rent chairs and an umbrella. There were several amenities (showers & restrooms). The water was rough but cool. We ate at a restaurant on the beach and the food was delicious plus affordable. The restaurant played carribean music and was next to a pier. Overall great beach day for the family.Visited November 2023Travelled with familyWritten 26 November 2023
- WorldTraveler56Mead, Washington24 contributionsPigeon Point Beach? Just do it!!I've read so many negative things about this spot that I can only think the reviewers are trying to save it for themselves! We were a group of 4, hired a taxi to take us out and return to get us 3-4 hours later. I'd say there was never more than 20 other people on the whole large beach while we were there. Competing vendors selling (very good!) rum punch and other fruit based drinks. One other vendor politely selling his jewelry. The beach sand was soft, water was clear, temperature was perfect and it was slightly cloudy. The only semi-negative is that it's a bit of a hike to the bathrooms from the beach. We all truly enjoyed our day and thought this was one of the best days of our trip. Go. You won't regret it!Visited December 2023Travelled with familyWritten 18 December 2023
- copper2839Calgary, Canada135 contributionsBeautiful beach with everything you need close byThis beach is beautiful and very clean. The water is sparkling blue, there are washrooms, restaurants, bars, and rentals for chairs etc. what more could you ask for? It’s not huge, so everything is close by to access once you enter the park. Entrance fee was $3.50 USD pp. the sand is beautiful, and the swimming area is marked off from boats and jet skis.Visited January 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 8 January 2024
- TriniSultressToronto, Canada574 contributionsGreat time as usualMy partner and I spent the majority of our time in Tobago at this beach. We purchased the 3 day couple Chillax package for $350TTD. This included 3 day entry for 2, 2 chairs and an umbrella. This worked out great for us because on our last day when we arrived an hour after the beach opened there were no more umbrellas and they compensated us by giving us one of the huts. The beach is beautifully picturesque, worth the iconic jetty. If you want to relax you can. If you’d like to take in any water sports that is available and o if you want to go on a glass bottom boat tour there is that option too. There are many well maintained washrooms & change areas. There are a few places too buy fits and drinks. However, it’s standard hot dogs/hamburgers and fries kind of food really. There are shops where you can buy snacks, souvenirs and anything beach worthy that you’ve forgotten to pack. There is no soliciting other than the tour operators coming around to see if you’d like to go on a tour. Definitely a must when on the island.Visited January 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 19 February 2024
- Lesley ECardiff, United Kingdom221 contributionsPerfect for a family day out, or for your instagram photos!Beautiful beach with bars and gift shops with clean toilets /showers and beds and umbrellas for hire. The beach is also a pick-up point for the glass bottomed boats that take you to the nylon pool and buccoo beach trips which can be booked when you arrive. There are two times for pick up 11am and 2pm. Part of the beach is also a turtle nesting site, the far end has lots of water sports available, you simply need to walk past the taxi pick up point and past the swings on your left. Pigeon point is one of the busier beaches on the island, for a quieter time you need to travel a little further, there you will find many other beautiful beaches some with no one on them at all!Visited March 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 6 March 2024
- MaRinda S17 contributionsGreat experience in TobagoStopped in Tobago on a cruise. We were a group of 14. 6 adults & 8 kids. We wanted to stick together so as soon as we got off the cruise ship we asked for a taxi that would hold all of us. They quickly accommodated and we were in a taxi van almost immediately. Our taxi driver was named Elvis. He was wonderful. Very informative. He drove us to Pigeon Point Beach and left us with his card and asked us what time we wanted picked back up. He returned promptly at the time that we decided on and returned us to our cruise ship in plenty of time. Pigeon point beach was beautiful. The sand and water was like a postcard. A great day!Visited February 2024Travelled with familyWritten 9 March 2024
- bluefootedbooby2017Hythe, United Kingdom42 contributionsDay at the beachHad a great day here. Very well organised , very clean and plenty of space. We were the only cruise ship in that day and it is small(700 passengers) I can imagine that if a large ship docked then the beach would be overwhelmed, Apart from a few asking us if we wanted a boat tour as soon as we arrived, we were not troubled with people trying to sell things. Gorgeous settingVisited March 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 12 March 2024
- Suzie B Gluten-Free!Clayton, California304 contributionsStunning white sandy beach and shallow water great for hanging out for the day. Or enjoy the many water-sport activitiesPay an entry fee ($3 pp) to enter this beautiful, shallow, coastal beach. Great place to chill out for the day. You are given a wristband which I presume pays for the wash and changing facilities. There are various shacks selling beer, water, and food. You can also pay for the use of a lounger and/or umbrella, but there are also many shady trees and picnic tables. The large swimming area is cordoned off and is very shallow. Many boat trips and water activities start from this point.Visited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 16 May 2024
- LindaTnT13 contributionsSimply Stunning! One of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen! The powdery white sand and crystal clear turquoise waters were simply stunning. We spent hours relaxing on the beach and swimming in the calm sea. The entrance fee was very reasonable too. A must-visit in Tobago!Visited May 2024Travelled with familyWritten 25 May 2024

After negotiating a reasonable price to go from the town to the beach we were pleased that our driver told us about the island and some of the important buildings. We had to pay a small entrance fee as Pigeon Point is a nature reserve, our driver had explained this first. He came back for us at the agreed time. There were water sports, but we walked further up to a quieter area. There were plenty of sunbeds ( which you had to pay for of course). We enjoyed watching the pelicans diving for fish. Plenty of restrooms, cleaner and better appointed than many I’ve been to on beaches. No shortage of beach bars either and soft drinks were very reasonably priced. It’s an idyllic spot, one of the highlights of our holiday.

Stayed at a small lodging on Old Store Bay Rd and walked to Pigeon Point. It is a flat, easy walk and takes about 20 minutes. There is fee to get in, but I didn't mind paying. It was small in comparison to beaches/parks where I live. (I won't get into too many details as they have already been said.) The water was beautiful and occasionally my foot did hit a piece of coral, but for the most part it was smooth sand. I wasn't bothered by too many vendors. A nice "no thank you" was all that was needed. There was a little ice cream stand that had some of the best ice cream. The bathrooms and changing rooms were very nice. Just be careful as the floors can get slippery. A young boy did slip and busted his head open while I was there. It was nice to walk towards the end of park and watch the kite surfers. I enjoyed playing pool at the first bar/restaurant when I needed a break from the sun. I loved walking back right after sunset because along the road (in the park) I always got to encounter hummingbirds at the flowering bushes. They would let you get so close. I imagine some of the people driving by thought i was a bit strange talking to bushes as they may not have seen the birds lol. Tips: If you comb the beach before and after the event pavilion, you can find lots of sea glass and beautiful shells. Very quiet along there too so great photo opportunities or if you need solitude.

The entrance fee is moderate, a few TT dollars, and the beach is superb. Perfect sand and sea. You can rent comfortable loungers for $5 US a day, also a huge sun umbrella for the same price. So, you can admire the scene in full shade (if you wish) and great comfort. If you arrive by car, you do best to drive as far as is possible, to the area where the loungers and 2/3 eateries are. Of course, you need a sunny day too, to appreciate the scene to its maximum advantage. When you venture for a swim you will find smooth white sand underneath. This is what gives the sea its magnificent turquoise colour.

The beach where we were staying (Grafton) wasn't really suitable for relaxing, so took a taxi (TTD100 each way) to Pigeon Point for the day..... had visited briefly to catch the glass-bottom boat and Nylon Pool (amazing!) on a tour so knew it was lovely. Didn't disappoint.... a small entrance fee (TTD20) provided a wristband, and a further TT30 a comfy sunbed wherever you wanted it .... plenty of choice of sunshine or shady trees & cabanas also available. Lovely golden sand, clear water, well maintained toilets & a choice of restaurants. Highly recommend at least one trip here when you're in Tobago.

An absolutely stunning beach, definitely worth visiting while on the island. There’s a small entrance fee per person as this is a nature reserve, but when you get inside you understand why. The whole area is clean and well kept and there are good facilities available (lockers, showers, loos, lifeguard) as well as food outlets and bars. Traditions serves great food, we had really yummy bake and shark and the rum punch was excellent! Glass bottom boat tours are available from about 100TT pp, but we negotiated a more private day-long tour with a great guy called Anton. For 500TT pp he took us on a coastline tour by speedboat. We snorkelled in 3 different places, including the famous Buccoo Reef. The coral and fish were incredible! We also visited the Nylon Pool, and had a delicious bbq lunch on the beach on No Man’s Island. Anton was fab and dropped us off at all these places just after all the party boats had departed so we had them all to ourselves! What an incredible experience, thank you Anton - find this guy on the beach and book him!

We spent more time here than I thought we would since we usually aren't into tourist beaches. Lovely beach and even better on the days the cruise ships do not port! Many excursions can be done and booked here. Also watersport rental equipment available as well as some restaurants. It does have an entry fee to enter, but no fee to use the restrooms as some other areas do. I also felt the area to park seemed safer than at some of the other beaches.

This beach is one of my favourite places I visited in Tobago. Entrance into Pigeon point is 20 TTD. The different shades of aqua waters were a pleasure to watch & the iconic jetty (a great photo opportunity) You can hire 2 beds & umbrella for 90TTD. There is 2 main restaurants where you can purchase food & drinks. You are able to do boat trips to Nylon bay ( it is worth doing).

Spent a day on Pigeon Point Beach. Loved it. The sand is like powder, the colour of the water is an incredible turquoise blue, there are great washroom facilities (all included in the park entrance fee), and great places to eat/drink. I HIGHLY recommend spending some time at Pigeon Point. You can also take glass-bottom boat tours from the pier out to the reef for snorkeling and to Nylon Pool and No Man’s Land. (We did that on a separate day and loved it.)

This beach is fabulous, but looked a little neglected this year. You have to pay to go on it, so come on clean the beach up of broken glass and seaweed.
Renmars beach bar is fabulous for food and drink.

Visitors to Pigeon local(seniors free) or foreign can expect a small entry fee . The white sandy beach with complimentary benches and shady trees ,
Concessionaires stands offer some variety of food /drinks.Other foods are not far away.
There are no hustlers on the beach so visitors are not harassed to buy stuff .There are no junkies or peddlers of other stuff.
Very relaxing clean beach.

I am going to Pigeon Point beach from a cruise ship and just wanted to know if I can use American $ like on the other Caribbean islands for sun beds, drinks etc . Thanks for any help you can give me.
Written 6 February 2020
Yes, we used US$ everywhere we went and usually we were given the same in change, only occasionally were we given Eastern Caribbean dollars as change, that was when they didn’t have US.

Ciao! Noi ritorneremo il prossimo gennaio e saremo su Costa magica e in 9! Sapresti dirmi, per cortesia, il nomendel Resort, quanto tempo ci vuole a raggiungerlo e i soldi per la macchina ( penso un taxi!)
Grazie mille

Hi, we can take a trip offered by our cruise ship or get a taxi, just wondered how safe it is for two woman to get a taxi?
Also will it be very busy as we get there on a Saturday, and is the beach entrance 20TT or 60TT?
Looks lovely and would really like to visit, unless anyone can suggest an alternative.
Thanks for any help.
Written 23 October 2019
I would say you should be ok to get a taxi, I can’t remember how much it was to get in but well worth the money. If you want to go on the glass bottom boat ask for Romeo, he was our skipper and although his boat wasn’t the prettiest, he was an absolute darling
Have a lovely holiday.... check out my other reviews because there was a bar on the beach by the jetty that was truly delightful and the owner (a very large chap) who was the best host ever...

Hi, do you need to pay for a chair or can you just sit on the sand?

Hi. You can just sit on the sand ; we dis the first afternoon we went. But the chairs arent expensive. They are only about £3 for the day. It's an absolutely stunning beach. Have a fabulous time.

Not sure to be honest, we got there about 10am, some places were open, others were not. The bar at the end was still opening and didnt serve drinks for at least 30 minutes after we arrived. The beach boys (no not the real ones) were still down there trying to sell trips though.

Hi, we are going to Pigeon Point and were thinking of the glass bottom boat tour. Can anyone help with the below please:
How long are the boat trips?
Roughly how much in TT$?
How often do they run (official website said 11am and 2pm)?
Is it suitable for a 7 year old?
Thanks alot.
Written 12 April 2019
Hi, boat trips officially are twice a day, it lasts max 2h. Ok for 7 years old, but don’t expect something extra ordinary. Price 120-160 TT$ depending on boat.
