The decor that dons the gardens at this auspicious time of year is lovely for a family picnic a romantic sunset stroll or jus to relax and meditate. The lighting is beautiful and foliage well kept.

Nicely maintained and laid out but not large or has a very large collection. You can combine this with the Zoo and Savannah park as all together. Support the gardens to help them sustain but do not expect to be on the level of main...More
The Botanical Gardens is an okay place to have a picnic or just kick back and relax and is free of charge. It is situated next door to the Zoo which has an admission cost attached to it.
Trees, flowers, vegetation from all over the world. Easy place for a nice walk on their pathways. Some good photo ops.
An oasis of green within the city. Perfect for a walk suitable for all ages. Fascinating flora. Magnificent trees from all over the world. Ideal for picnics.
Nice walk around the gardens to see different trees and vegetation. Really nice that this location is free. Worth noting to bring your own water on a hot day, we had to walk over to the zoo to get some.

Very pretty botanic gardens with lots of tropical plants and trees (as expected). Delightful to walk around for an hour. We saw local school children having lessons under the trees, and lots of locals meandering through. Probably a must see in Port of Spain.
If you have free time on a free day in the morning, this is a place to visit, walk, breath plenty of nature.
