Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

One of the sites in Trinidad that i always heard of but never visited. Finally decided to make that trip .. worth every moment of it.So peaceful tranquil with a breathtaking view.. Grounds are well maintained benches to relax and take the view ... didnt stay till sunset but im sure that would have been a site to see.. road to the fort is a bit narrow, but expected ,not busy tho.All in all trip was great..

What a breathtaking experience. You can see all of Trinidad. I was able to view Venezuela. Historically amazing.

I enjoyed this beautiful oasis especially knowing that my trip was bittersweet. As a native trini—never did I know about this incredible fort which was build in 1804. Truly a remarkable story of our ancestor past. A must see when you visit sweet sweet TnT.

This place is great for the view over the city! Go on a sunny day, take some drinks and some food and enjoy this place. There are picknick spots all over the place and almost nobody there. You can make some lovely pictures too.
There is no public transport up there. So you either have to go with a car, by bike or by foot. The way up is very steep at times, so you might want to keep that in mind.
Entry is free. The gate is open every day from 9am until 5.30 pm (I hope I remember this correctly), even on sundays. They don't have any bar or something like that, but they do have decent bathroom facilities.

Nice and quiet on a Sunday - not too interesting as there isn't much to see - just a building and that's basically it. still worth going for the view.

the fort is a historical site with great views of the city. You could just sit and admire the beauty that is Trinidad.

Historical view of the island. Enjoy the view and also enjoy the inside which is air conditioned. The view is gorgeous! Highest point on the Island

If you've spent any time in Trinidad, don't leave the island without a trip to Fort George, where you can see all of it, as well as part of Venezuela, laid out in some of the most stunning views. There are picnic tables at the top, but you're there for the views really, not the venue. Wish I'd brought some food for the few stray dogs I met there. The drive to the top is also quite steep, unsurprisingly.

This small fort is easy to get to and involves very minimal walking. The views of Port of Spain are spectacular and well worth the visit. The best part about it is it’s free! Highly recommend a visit and bring your camera.
