If you are a person that loves outdoors and nature this is the place to visit. Lovely birds, to get the most out of this trip I strongly suggest a visit from early morning. The birds in my opinion tend to be easier to see at this time. They do tours where a guide accompanies you on the a trail into... More

A simply wonderful 4 days. Clean comfortable rooms. Quiet peaceful nature observation from the elegant old estate house veranda. Great trails to wander about on our own or with very experienced guides. So fun to watch and listen to the Bell Birds and also the manakins jumping and snapping in their lek. Meals in the dining room were buffet style... More

This nature centre offers a wonderful experience for all ages and inclinations. Quiet and scenic, the humming birds are awesome. The guide was very hospitable and knowledgeable. The entry price is low. This is a must do in Trinidad. The entry road is windy and a bit unsettling with two cars at once but experienced drivers will have no problem.... More

An amazing place to spend the day. The veranda of the elegant old estate house, with its views over a valley of luxuriant tropical vegetation, is the perfect spot from which to observe all sorts of wonderfully colourful birds & especially the humming birds sipping daintily from the feeders alongside.

A popular for both local and foreign visitors. Amazing bird watching from the comfort of a large veranda while sipping tasty home made coffee. Lunch is good but a bit pricey. I recommend leaving after lunch and going higher up into the mountains where many don't go as the views alone are worth it and there are many interesting, friendly... More

BMOBILE kiosk in the Piarco Airport is located in a secure area which would not permit anyone to revisit the store if there are problems. The store, as I was told, sells malfunctioning devices knowing it is near impossible to visit the location. Additionally, they also have a "no return, no refund" policy despite saying otherwise on the purchase receipt.... More

Beautiful mountain ride to the rain forest. The best is watching the humming birds from the veranda. Friendly guides take you to look for the birds and identify interesting plants. They seem to be more trained tourist leaders than nature guides

If you love flora and fauna - this is the place for you! Much like a botanical garden, this property features a variety of trees, animals, birds, and flowers. Trails guide the visitor throughout the reserve. The guided tour was a little too short, would prefer to spend much more time exploring and appreciating everything this place has to offer.... More

Getting here was an experience on narrow two-lane roads. The day was rainy and several small bus loads of tourists made the trek. Saw a large number of hummingbirds at the feeding station at the visitor center. Going downhill and then back uphill on wet, slippery rocks, stones and leaves was somewhat bothersome. Saw limited number of birds from ground... More

Asa Wright Nature Centre is something of a one off. Set in an old estate house, it has become a magnet for anyone interested in the plants, insects, reptiles but most of all the birds of the Trinidadian rain forest. The facilities are good - clean and simple - and the food is simply fun. It is very much a... More
