Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The rocks were created as part of a volcanic eruption many years ago. There is a boardwalk type area to grab food if you're hungry. At the end of the walk way are the steps down to the actual scenery. It's very pretty. For older folks it's worth staying on level ground. We climbed down and over rocks to get a better vantage point. Be very careful though as tides can come in at any time.

Just off the ring road with grassy parking area. Partway to viewing decking with craft and souvenir vendor sheds beside. We found it worth a quick stop but didn’t stay long. Scenic Atlantic views.

OK...its black rocks. What more do you say about it. Old lava flows into the Ocean. We hit this place at the end of the day on a Tuesday on our island tour...luckily for us. Interesting to see, but not worth driving out for on its own. Taxi driver, tour operator said that if a cruise ship is in port, this place is hopping with merchants selling stuff. That would have definately made this site more interesting. For us it was just an empty turn off the road to a cliff to look down and see some black rocks below.

The pictures pretty much tell the story....

The driver stopped at the black rocks and told us to get out and take a look. When we got out we were in awe! There isn't anything to do in the area and in order to see the black rocks you basically have to look down a cliff. But the view is outstanding and made for one of the best pictures I've taken yet. It's absolutely beautiful and reminds you of how wonderful nature is. It's also very different. Not your typical beach picture...

There is not much to see here outside of the black volcanic rocks in the water. If you have not seen them before it's worth a stop. Not an attraction I'd go out of my way for.

We hired a taxi service at the port and this was one of the stops he took us to. It's obviously a tourist trap but everyone was nice, they had beer and items for sale and no one was pushy. At the back of the lot is a view of the ocean and below is "Black Rocks". Not being interested in anymore alcohol or souvenirs I walked to the back of the lot and down the steep cliff (not the difficult) to take some photos. I was down there admiring the scenery and also all of the trash that either got thrown or blown over the cliff. Suddenly, some security person was yelling at me at the top of the cliff to come back. I told her to wait a few minutes and took some more pics and then came back up since I thought our tour guide had to leave. She was pissed, and told me was lucky I "was not going to jail". What the hell? No signs, nothing. I laughed at her because I thought she was joking but no..even the tour guide came over and pulled me away and back to the vendor area. Before we walked away I told her she needed to deflate that false sense of authority and put up signs, which I would have acknowledged. Come up, I ran up the steep trail in 20 seconds - I'm sure the locals can go down and litter all they want but me? Nope, can't even take pictures. I would place our local National Park and surrounding trails any day up against that little impediment they call Black Rocks....traversed them many times and that terrain doesn't play games so Whoo Hoo, let's get out the sparklers and label me the next J.Y. Cousteau for being so crazy adventurous. So, in closing don't avoid Black Rocks but just be careful you don't get yourself into paying some BS fine that I'm sure they're still trying to figure out how to make happen. Does anyone have anymore info on this?

We stopped at the black rocks on our tour of the island, provided by Seamoss, who did an excellent job informing us of the island history. While at the rocks, we gazed at the tons of black rocks down the cliff. They are as close to anything volcanic that I have experienced and were beautiful. While there, I bought dresses, purchased my first ever coconut water and sugar cane, and gazed at the beautiful views. My husband and I both held a tiny monkey. It was a great midway stop on our tour.

Beware of the overly aggressive monkey man. He is very loud and aggressive. He pushes everyone to have a picture with his monkey and will often charge $20 per picture. (Another couple shared their poor experience and surprise $20 charge)
My wife felt unsafe and after complaining to a female police officer on site. She seemed uninterested in dealing with the issue and we then quickly left the area. this occurred on March 6th at about 1:00 PM.

Part of a Island Tour. Nice scenic area with mountain views. Lots of little shops and food/beer. Nice place to stretch your legs and take in the sites.

We visited this spot while in St. Kitts. The view is breathtaking!
I would highly suggest making this a point of interest to see while there.
