The kids may not appreciate it, but it gives a great short story of the Cayman's history. I found the little "zip gun" to be a show of ingenuity. The display of how the islands were formed is very informative.

The National Museum in George Town is definitely a place you should see! The building itself is very historical, and the displays and exhibits inside provide a fascinating glimpse into the history of the Cayman Islands and it's people. It is a must see!!!

The museum is a nice way to learn the history of the Cayman Islands. Very conveniently located to the center of Georgetown.

Great to learn more of the history of the Cayman Islands. Great scuba exhibit. Not too expensive and a nice place to spend an hour or so.

You might easily overlook the museum, but it's a nice overview of the island and history of diving. It has an interactive fish and sea life module for kids and adults for the young at heart. Go...on a day when you need a break from the sun or in G-town shopping. Plan on spending 1.5 hours here. The entrance is... More

I visited the museum on December 27 while walking along the wharf in Georgetown and went inside the museum. It was extremely educational as I learned about the history and culture of the people that on the Cayman Islands as well as how the islands came to be. Very well informative.

My wife and I visited Grand Cayman while doing a cruise on the Navigator of the Seas. This museum was one of our stops while doing a Food Tasting and Cultural Walking Tour. We experienced this small museum as a worthwhile stop in Georgetown. My wife who is a born shopper particularly enjoyed their gift shop that had some very... More

We took a break out of the sun and an opportunity to learn about the island. It is long enough to learn something and short enough not to tax the entire day. The 15 minute introduction movie was pretty good and set the stage for the rest. The displays and historic pieces are accompanied by some pertinent information for explanation.

if you are not a water person, this is a nice place to spend a few hrs and learn about the Island. The museum is small but so is the island. There was an especially nice display about women's suffrage and the lady who was one of the leaders
