Yes Please!I fell in love with the Cayman Islands from the time we left our Cruise to the George Town Port, this place is clean, safe, and surprisingly less expensive than expected. We visited the Downtown Area and found the C.I. National Museum. The facilities are well-kept and informational. I wouldn't mind going back to this jewel of the Caribbean!Visited November 2023Travelled with familyWritten 20 November 2023
- Car G1 contributionHighly rate to visitAfter visiting Grand Cayman a few times, I was happy to have the opportunity to learn about this Beautiful and Amazing Island. I enjoyed the interactive displays and Children's submarine to learn about the vaiety of fish and our ocean. It was very informative to learn about Turtles, and how important they were to trading. It has great exhibits of thier Heros and History throughout the past. Kudos to our host Pamela for sharing your knowledge and stories of this beautiful Island!!!!Visited February 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 19 February 2024
- Ric G1 contributionNational Museum Tour a must !Such a wonderful tour Pamela Webster.it was so informative and interesting.we really enjoyed the interactive learning stations of the beautiful island of Cayman. The short film at the end topped it off. We even managed to find a little keepsake in the Museums gift shop to take home.thank you.Visited February 2024Travelled with familyWritten 20 February 2024

The building used for the museum is the oldest standing building on the island (if I remember correctly) and the tour through the museum rooms will not take too long. Probably schedule 45 min-1 hour max to spend time with the displays. You start out with a 15 min movie and then go on a self-tour of the rooms. They've added some tech to some displays with holographic and animatronic figures. Worth a stop-in and entry price is not too much.Visited March 2024Travelled with familyWritten 26 March 2024

Always like to visit some museums on a trip and learn a little about the place I’m visiting. This museum did exactly that. It’s quite small so doesn’t take long to look around. However, I learned a lot about Cayman culture, history and ecology in that short visit. Definitely worth checking out and at US$8 for an adult ticket it’s mighty affordable too.

This was our first stop off our cruise. This museum contains a small art collection, artifacts and a brief movie about the history of the islands. The natives are very proud of their history and this museum is a great way to understand the culture and the people. The ladies running the museum are helpful, knowledgeable and very friendly. The museum operates a nice gift shop filled with handmade crafts from area artists.

I visited as I was walking around George Town, I always enjoy learning about the history of a place. Small museum where you can feel that they put a lot of love into it. It starts with a little film and then they have a few exhibition rooms with anymatronics and a display on sea life. I very much enjoyed it, the gift shop was nice as well!

We spent an hour or so touring the National Museum. The video is quite informative and well done. The exhibits were also interesting although many were out of date (particularly in the Cayman Airway area). I was surprised that the "history" seemed to go back to the 1950's but not a lot before. We were glad we went. The staff was friendly and helpful.

This was a nice stop quite near the cruise terminal in Georgetown. It is definitely worth an hour or so of your time. There is interesting information on the island, it's geography, history and wildlife. It was interesting to see the old jail with it's graffiti.

Best part of Cayman trip! Loved to learn about the history, ecology, and culture. Updated with dioramas, video, and a cool faux submarine dive that shows you what animals are at what depth. Loved the Annie Bodden section too. What an amazing woman.

Hello. Thanks for the question. Unfortunately, we do not have joint tours between the National Gallery and the National Museum at this time. We do have information on the Maritime Heritage Trail at the National Museum for purchase, though.
The National Gallery actually has a Maritime exhibit on at the moment if you would like to visit. For more information, you can visit their website, or call them at 345 945 8111.
