Smith Barcadere was very busy, but the water was gorgeous and it was great for snorkeling. Bathrooms/showers and free parking - I think it's a must do when you visit Grand Cayman!

We were on a cruise and docked at 7 am so we walked the probably 2 miles to here. The beach is small but nice snorkelling. A bit of undertow so beware. Has an outside shower and flush toilets

This is an interesting and different type of beach. The snorkeling was better at cemetery beach but we still saw a good deal of fish.

biked to Smiths based upon other recommendations with my 10 year old. Fun little drop jump off of the coral formations. Its a small area so not too crowded and had a bathroom and shower. The snorkeling is ok but Spotts around the bend is...More

We were here the second week of December and the conditions were not good for snorkeling. Rough waves and the water was really churned up. The water is relatively deep so even in good conditions I can't imagine it being all that great for snorkeling....More

Loved this quiet little beach! Rocky “cliffs” and sandy bays; plenty of space in either the sun or shade. Bring your own beach chairs ... there is a restroom there but nothing else, although an ice cream truck came by for at least two hours...More

We visited smith cove because it is close to where I live and has restroom facilities. I haven't been there in quite some time and was very surprised that there are great tables there now and trash cans. The beach was also very clean! Will...More

Smiths Cove or Smiths Barcadere as it says on the sign is a different type of snorkeling than most of the places on Grand Cayman. You are surrounded by "iron Shore" which the fish love as it causes the water to be deeper but gives...More

Heard nothing but good things about this place but it was crazy crowded and the water was really murky. I can see if being a great spot but can’t attest to it. People were friendly. Could be difficult entry depending on waves.

There is a small motel-type place less than a mile north of Smith Cove. I stayed there last year. The name is Riviera Grand Cayman. Very basic, no frills place. It was up for sale so I don't know if it still exists. The... More

It is about 2 miles from where the cruise ship docks to the cove. No sidewalks (most of the way).
