Smith Cove is a little beach with a lot of character. A white sand beach surrounded by lava rock, we enjoyed snorkeling and playing in waves that got quite large. There are a few picnic tables if you get there early, as well as restrooms and a fresh water shower. Spending the day with a picnic lunch was one of... More

Best beach on Grand Cayman! Stunning natural iron shore formations, incomparable beauty, and great swimming/snorkeling. There are bathrooms and an outdoor shower here but no other amenities. Bring chairs, towels and your snorkel gear. On windy days this beach can get some rolling waves and an occasional strong under tow, but it's too lovely to miss!

This site is great for snorkeling, walking on the iron shore, relaxing on the small beach or photographing the beautiful sunsets here in Cayman. It is a bit of a walk if coming from a cruise ship because there are no sidewalks and the roads are narrow but it would be a short taxi ride from George Town and they... More

This beach is secluded, and much quieter than seven mile beach. You can come here to lay under coconut trees, snorkel with lots of fish, and see iguanas.

Lovely local beach with great snorkelling just south of George Town. Plenty of shade under palm trees.

One of the few areas in George Town/South Sound with beach access and good swimming. Changing/ toilet facilities. Seagrape shade.

Smith Cove is a local public beach, directly across the road from the Dart Mansion. Free parking is also available across the street. This beach features a shower, changing room, picnic tables, trees for shade and a gorgeous spit of beach. Small, yet not crowded, Smith Cove offers aqua, calm water to swim or snorkel. You will also see some... More

This is a beautiful small cove, frequented by mainly locals. The snorkelling at the cove is wonderful with many different types of fish to be seen. We were lucky to witness a Baptism at our first visit on a Sunday morning, our second visit was for our wedding, there were no more than 10 other people on the beach at... More

The views are amazing and the water is beautiful. Be sure to bring your snorkeling gear. It is a remarkable place to snorkel. Our 7 year old was just learning to snorkel and this is the place that made him comfortable to do just that. There was a lot to see and it was calm water. A great place to... More
