The castle and river running beside it gives Castlederg it's name. It's a lovely walk with the dog or for families. This year the very successful dergfest was at the castle and it was absolutely fantastic.

The Castlederg Castle is a part of a community park. They have historical information about the Castle itself, and visitors can interact among the ruins.

There are lots of things to read, lots of different facts. The new park has great outdoor exercise machines. It has good parking. Near a nice cafe. Great place for photos beside the river.

Quiet spot with plenty of castle history onsite, nice walking path beside the River Derg, with easy excess to the Derg bridge. It also has a playground for the kids. With plenty of food options steps away on the main street..
