All beaches were closed because of very rough seas so we had spent the day visiting the North End. On our return, we decided to check out Savannah Bay. It was a beautiful wide beach so we cautiously ventured out to a sand bar then had a great time "riding the waves." We all said it was a nice alternative... More

It was windy the day we visited - ended up being sand blasted. The beach has a nice fine sand on the left side (looking out). Except for the wind, very nice and large beach.

Like most of Virgin Gorda, you will find no bars, vendors, chairs, or facilities on this beach. You may find some shade, see some families enjoying the surf, and enjoy its beauty before someone decides to "improve" it.

While on a day visit to Virgin Gorda, I asked a native where we should go for a great beach experience. She said "Savannah Bay". We had passed it earlier in the morning on our drive, and made plans to stop on the way back to Spanish Town. The access road is on the west side of the road in... More

We got here around 900. Easy parking. Set up chairs in hard to find shade here. We enjoyed walking this large beautiful beach. Snorkeled one day but surf was up so viability poor. Looks like reef is good here.Left at 130 because our shaded area was in full sun. Had several palapas there but they needed new roofs.

We kayaked to this beach several times from Mahoe Bay. A long white gorgeous beach that was always empty except for an occasional sailboat moored in the bay. The water was always calm-perfect for swimming and snorkeling.

Tucked away down a short dirt road is one of the most pristine beaches on Virgin Gorda. There are no services available so bring your own towels and lunch but it's worth the effort. Clean white sand as far as you want in either direction and calm blue waters that slowly taper from the shore.

This tucked away beach has the most pristine calm waters I've ever seen. It is very shallow and full of coral and fish to explore with snorkeling. The calm waves (no real waves to speak of) make it family friendly for kids to splash around. There are trees lining the beach to hide under when you need a break from... More

We arrived on a very quiet afternoon. The lace was almost deserted. The long beach was lovely. Easy to walk, no rocky places and shade available when needed. The water had gentle waves and a sandy, firm bottom. Bliss.

My trip to Savannah bay was very enjoyable. My children enjoyed walking along the beach, swimming in the water - which is very child friendly - and the sunset from that beach was beyond words. I really appreciate that the beach is easily accessible and great for having a picnic with the family.
