This is my account of a visit to Sage Mountain in the summer of 1964: We planned a drive from Road town across to the other side the island, the location of my friend's family beachfront property at Smuggler’s Cove. Only nine miles by road...More

This was a very enjoyable place to visit. The gentleman at the office was very good at giving us a hiking map and answering all our question. It was no rain forest but just a very nice tropical park to visit. The hike was not...More

It's off the beaten path and no park rangers. Hike at your own risk. If you stop in the small gift shop/restaurant you can get a used map with all the trails on it. Please give it back and get a banana smoothie. Good hikes...More

Sage Mountain National Park is located in Tortola. My fiancé and I visited here as an excursion on a cruise. It was a rainy day. We didn’t get to explore much as it was unbearable from the rain. It was difficult to hike and people...More

This hidden gem is what makes Tortola soooo awesome. Just enjoy nature as you walk through. Take a native with you, one who knows the trails and who knows the history. You will learn so much and see so much.

Glorious view on the way up to the mountain. Our taxi guide was a little sketchy, but it was worth it for the views.

Very specific provincial tropical park with no paved roads, no pointers and - surprisingly! - no tropical smell and almost no birds in March. But owner of Mountain View gift shop was very courteous and explain us everything where to go and what to see.

We enjoyed visiting Sage Mountain National Park, although the trail signs are a little lacking and we had to backtrack to find our way. Be sure to get a map...it will help. It was beautiful in the Park, but we were hoping for more views....More

Great hike that is doable for a family. Nice to have some shade and get out of the sun for a spell! End your hike with Jim's home made banana smoothie- not to be missed! He is also a great source of information and history!

Have hiked here a few times over the years and it's always a pleasure. I find the early morning hikes are the best! As the lookout spots give you great sunrise and sunset views. The atmosphere up here is so fresh and clean! It literally...More

from memory there was more than one trail so times could vary. the maps available are terrible. you can easily lose your way. A pocket GPS would be a great help.
