The unpaved road in to Smuggler's Cove is daunting & keeps many people out. Some prefer to walk, but it's not a short walk. Once there, you'll see crystal clear, mostly flat water & a small beach with lots of palm trees for shade...perfect for...More

The road to Smugglers Cove is a packed dirt road with some rocks and potholes. We expected the worst but really it wasn't that bad. It is not steep, we did not need 4-wheel drive and it is was less than 1.5 miles from Long...More

Amazing quiet beach with Nigels Bar and Grill right on it. A little hard to get to but well worth spending the day in this nice little cove for lounging, snorkeling and catching some rays.

By far the busiest beach we visited -2 cruise ships were in that day- and yet not too crowded to enjoy the snorkeling and a delicious meal from Nigel! We saw an Octopus, beautiful fish and coral, swam with a turtle and put a piece...More

This beach has nothing so you need to bring your own chair, food and drinks. However it is BEAUTIFUL for that same reason. The road is not paved but it is not too bad and well worth it. If you want a slice of heaven...More

Smuggler's Cove is a small but beautiful sandy beach about a half mile down a dirt road. There was a hand-lettered sign on the main road giving directions to the beach, but even with that we missed the turn and had to double back. My...More

If you want a real adventure approach Smuggler's Cove from the southwest. After we reached the end of the main road we were directed up a rocky ledge. Although the route brought us to the beach, it's a miracle our tiny Suzuki made it without...More

the beach is one of the most beautiful ever seen in my life. Surely there are others. On the first day of our stay, I wondered around and stumbled into Nigel's snack shack. It is a very natural and local bar with selected manual ....More

We stayed about 100 meters from smugglers cove. Nice sandy beach with decent snorkeling. Saw some big lobsters but no turtles. Great beach entry with lots of shade to relax. Water was great.

Super soft sand. Smooth entry. A fella at the end of the beach has a cool little bar and "grill" and all kinds of info on the best beaches on island!

Don't know if you got an answer on this or not. In terms of distance, it's not that far from the cruise port. In terms of the road conditions and logistics, I would allow 45 minutes to and from. RICH
