We visited close to lunch time where it looked like the church was about to start midday mass. We didn't stay for very long because of this. The interior of the church was very beautiful and I was just itching to photograph it. Rich history and beautiful architecture.

The inside of this large church is richly decorated with stained glass and brightly decorated artwork. It is a very simple interior, which is very peaceful. I had a lovely chat with the priest in it and he was so friendly and welcoming to me. They have donation box inside for much needed work. Work a visit if you are... More

It is a beautiful structure with a lot of character and patina. The interior is wooden with a painted ceiling and beautiful stained glass windows near the ceiling to facilitate natural convective ventilation. You don't have to be religious to appreciate the beauty of this old facility. The building needs love. You can see signs of water damage and a... More

The church is open to visitors and is a landmark in the town. Although mostly empty on our visit I could imagine how it might be if full of singing churchgoers. Whilst not possessing the pomp and grandeur of the magnificent churches and cathedrals in other parts of the world, in St Lucia terms this is am impressive structure. Keep... More

Shabby exterior but stunning interior of church- beautiful stained glass windows, huge building and peaceful surroundings right in the centre of bustling Castries

The Cathedral is quite beautiful inside, although the outside part is not well preserved. Located next to Derek Walcott square. Quite large and over 100 years old. We came on a tour but could have easily walked from the port and our cruise ship. An excellent way to learn more about the history and culture of St. Lucia.

We actually attended a Christening here. If you are coming for Mass try and get a seat nearer the doors as it can get stuffy inside. Beautiful paintings and stained glass. A peaceful place to get away from the hustle and bustle of Castries, even for a few minutes.

Pretty nice church, worth a quick peek but not a whole special trip, unless you are really into Catholic churches.
