About
The St. Lucia Golf Club is the 18-hole Championship course of St. Lucia. The undulating par-71 only plays 6,685 yards off the blues, but the course attracts a USGA rating of 74.3, taking into account the strong winds, numerous water hazards, and 16 out-of-bounds. The 20,000 sq. ft. Clubhouse is located just five minutes from Pigeon Island and Rodney Bay, within a short distance of Castries. The Club features a well-stocked bar, restaurant, duty-free pro-shop, drinks cart, halfway house and driving range.

Score Card = Can do a lot Better
Jul. 2020
Condition of the course was poor with lots of bare patches and GUR and certainly not worth $61 inclusive of cart. Food and Bar area is great to look at but staff need basic training in manners, menu dull, food completely over priced and quality extremely poor. Need a new Head Chef.

When is the back nine due to be reopened?I was originally told March. Is this still the case or has it been delayed?

Quick visit here but not to play golf . Bar staff .... well one lady was nothing short of hostile . Refused to give WiFi code saying she didn’t know it ... most unhelpful place in the Caribbean.

Great Golf Lesson with Regis
Jan. 2020
We had booked a golf lesson with Regis as my husband would like to see if he could still remember how to play after many years of not touching a golf club.

Regis is the perfect person to have as your trainer and his attitude to teaching someone is impeccable and my husband left smiling and he'll sign up for more lessons next time we're in St Lucia.

The golf course is also stunning - I look forward to seeing it after it's final renovation in a few months.

Not a Typical Resort Course
Jan. 2020
My wife and I were staying at Sandals Grande. We played as a couple three times and I played a fourth time.

We enjoyed the layout of the course. It was a "real" golf course and not your typical open, unimaginative resort course. The back nine is under renovation and will be opening in March. We would play the front nine twice to get in our 18.

Greens were in great shape although the fairways were rough in spots. The course is challenging but playable. I am an 18 handicap and my wife is a 30. We thought it was a "women friendly" course layout with the tee locations. I played from the white tees but the blue tees would be more challenging for the better golfer.

We would tee off around 7:40 AM and finish the 18 in less than 3 and 1/2 hours. It gave us the opportunity to play and still have the afternoon at the beach.

Staff in the pro shop were very nice, especially Vanessa who was very accommodating and pleasant.

I recommend playing this course while at Sandals St. Lucia. We look forward to returning for more.

Great Island Course after Renovation
Oct. 2019 • Couples
We played while visiting Sandals Grande St Lucian. We knew the course was being renovated ahead of time and when we played the Front 9 was open and completely renovated. It was very nice and was a fun layout, definitely check this course out if you’re at Sandals! Played in 2 hours flat. Rental clubs and service were great

We were made aware prior to arrival of the course reconstruction, however we had a great few games of golf. My husband and I have an 18 handicap & although the course was reduced to 7 completed holes with 2 further playable holes awaiting renovation. We took our clubs etc. from the uk and played 3 times we enjoyed the experience and will be returning

TERRIBLE not playable till 2020
Jun. 2019 • Couples
This was a lovely area and club house for a golf course , trouble is the 9 other greens are STILL being worked on and are totally muddy and not finished. The 9 holes that you get offered are poor muddy and also really erratic to play on . You hit a great shot and it hits the ground and stops dead . Should not be offered to play until finished properly . Also annoyed by lazy green keeper who coyld not be bothered to show practice greens or hole 10 where you start off to play . Note photos showing bad course and unfinished work on greens .
