We stopped to view Diamond Rock while touring Martinique. Our guide explained the history. There's a great view point from the coast.

Not much to say other than it’s worth a quick stop and photo! From the viewing point, we were lucky to see all the way to Sant Lucia cause it was a clear & beautiful day

Seeing this beautiful rock rising up out of the sea was mesmerizing. Such natural beauty. Hearing locals tell the stories of battles between the French and British over this rock adds to the mystique!

We stayed in Le Diamont, so we could see the rock from the windows. Beautiful, but you cannot get onto the rock.

Cool to look at but don't make a special trip. We stayed in le diamant, so could view daily. If on the other side of island, not worth a drive

So glad I decided to stop in. The woman at the desk was extremely kind and re-started the film with English subtitles. I was able to glean a lot more information.

This is a must-see if you are going to Martinique. You will need a rental car. Drive this in the daytime - not after dark. The view of the rock is magnificent. Roads are good but narrow. Bring a camera or phone to take some...More
