Great place for an evening stroll, drinks and bite

Beautiful evening views over a marina on a well maintained boardwalk with numerous kioskos for food, drink & trinkets.

We didn't go during the night time, so don't know how busy or good it is for a night out. We did go during the day though, and besides the bars, there is little to do. Feeding the fish takes perhaps 5 minutes to get boring. The beach isn't very good at all. For sunbathing it's too windy and the... More

We went on a friday around noon and it was deserted. Not many people and few kiosks open. The only entrataiment were the fishes and the pelicans that you can feed. Definitely nothing special.

This was a nice place for the two of us to visit. There were lots of kids and families out everyday of the week. The week we went happened to me Christmas week and New Years week. There are quite a few open style bars that served drinks and food there is also a small pizza joint that has a... More

La Guancha is not a tourist attraction but rather a place where locals go for an inexpensive time out. It is a bustling Boardwalk full of sidewalk bars, cafes and musicians. Extended families cans be seen grabbing a bite to eat and enjoying a beer. We loved it!

The boardwalk is a great place to hang out in the evening especially in December when the weather is fabulous and the place thronged with locals as it was the holiday season. Lots of shacks serving fast food and drinks. Families, couples, live music....and watch the sun go down.

The boardwalk is neat & is a great idea. The day we were there only a handful of food places were open. We ate at Tangos & had a good lunch. The water is very pretty & the tower is cool to go to the top. I would like to see the place when it is hopping.

You will find Kioscos (kiosks) all over Puerto Rico. They are a great way to experience local food (and to eat extremely inexpensively). The La Guancha Kioscos on the La Guancha boardwalk are great. Lots of food options, including mofongo and empanadas. Our favorite Kiosco is Number 9, Pura Vida. The shrimp tacos are amazing.
