Ducked in with kids as a light rain began to fall. The coffee was good, with several brands (whole bean and ground) for sale. The staff were friendly and offered suggestions and the merits of each brand/type of coffee that they offered. The gift shop next door has some lovely items.

Came here after dinner, as they're open pretty late. Enjoyed a hot drink and cake. The shops in front are ok; some interesting stuff to browse, but not the main attraction. We came on Tuesday night, open mic night - which was awesome. Folk were there reading original and well-known poems out loud. Several people played music and sang original... More

This shop/coffee shop is awesome! In a world of copies this place is original with poetry on the walls, for sale on tiles, with live music, comfy chairs, cool gifts. It's a must do!

As we strolled through Old San Juan, we stopped to grab a cup of coffee w/ the beau - it was the only local coffee shop open past 8PM. Couldn't drink the whole cup, though. The brew was extremely hot and bitter. I recommend they adjust the espresso settings and train their baristas. Dessert was good. They had open mike... More

I saw the great reviews of this shop, and I was hoping to find some good quality mementos of San Juan. It turns out it's just a gallery dedicated to prints in varying sizes of quotes, some of which are quite trite. Apparently there is live poetry reading some evenings, which I did not attend, but as shop, it's not... More

Poet's Passage was a crafty little art shop in San Juan. There are a variety of sayings - some emotional, some loving and others just poetic and thoughtful. They have all different sizes of art, cards and more. Great for gifts.

Take your time reading all the poetry on the walls. The store is filled with it and any number of cool art pieces. The coffee bar is great. Wish we could have been there when readings were being offered, will definitely go back here when in San Juan.

A nice refuge for an excellent strong cup of coffee, smoothies and hard to find in San Juan vegetarian fare.

The first time we went to the Poet's Passage, we had coffee. Great service! The attached gift shop is poetry inspired and enjoyable. We went back one evening for music and poetry readings. We each had a beer and enjoyed the open mic entertainment, which was in Spanish and English.
