Must see to Believe

Beautiful stones and unique statues make this an interesting stop. We spend an hour + in this area. A long walk from the cruise port or get a cab or tour to drop you off.

A very surreal place to visit and photograph. It sits next to the beach and El Morro fort. Very beautiful.

The Cemetery is within walking distance of the Sea Fort at the end off the island in downtown old San Juan. Most of the burial sites are in crypts due to the low water level. The cemetery is still in use today.

The cemetary location is the best. Right on the water, next to another attraction. So it's good to see while you're there. But I wouldn't make a special trip. Not like the cemetery in Buenos Aires with above-ground masoleums.

This cemetery is unique in his location. Is outside the defensive walls of San Felipe Del Morro and side of the community of La Perla. This cemetery is full of history you can find the tombs of politics, musicians, painters from over 300 years. The view is spectacular to the Atlantic Ocean. You also can appreciate the religious marmol sculptures. Really... More

It's surrounded by walls so unless you figure out where to go it can be tricky. The area to enter the cemetery is known to be a bad area and someone was mugged for their camera in the area just walking in the middle of the day.

A sombre location that is rich in the history of San Juan. I spent many hours wandering around the San Juan Cemetary viewing many of historic graves whilst contemplating their lives in colonial and pre-colonial Puerto Rico. A great spot.

I'm not one to peruse cemeteries, but this is a site to be seen. The mixture of contemporary and old tombs were fascinating to walk through. Surprisingly, our teens loved it!

Thank Charity P
