There wasn't all that much to see here--a totem pole and an empty plaza almost devoid of any decorations or even places to sit. In other words, there was nothing to do but look at a totem pole in a small paved plaza and that's...More

We walked up here for the view and sat to enjoy the evening breeze. There is a granite and clay totem pole monument that honors the 500-year anniversary of Columbus' first voyage to the Americas. Near that is a lovely water fountain

One of many historic plazas in OSJ. Walk through, take your picture, and move on. Not much to see other than the gigantic "totem" statue.

The plaza has a water fountain the kids can play in while the adults relax with a coastal view or view the historical area and its monuments.

The Plaza is a unique totem style monument commemorating the history of the area. I will tell you that like many other points of interest in Old San Juan there is not much signage or reference available to provide details on the significance and meaning....More

A very nice plaza, with so much history. A striking column rises above it, and there are plenty of areas to relax and take in the views of the ocean.

I ussually visit Old San Juan and I park (undergroung parking) at the Five Centuries Plaza. Immediately you'll feel that Caribbean and Spanish ambiance that characterizes one of Puerto Ricos capitla and oldest cities. Excellent sculptures, tradicional buildings, same streets as 400 years ago, lots...More

A nice place to sit and rest after walking your feet off through the streets of Old San Juan. Nice breezes, lots of people to watch, a cool interactive fountain that kids love to cool off in, steps away from Castillo San Felipe del Morro.

Nice views from the plaza. I was not to impressed with the Totem. It everything goes in terms of "five" why wasn't the pole 50 feet tall instead of 40? I should have asked the guide!
