Beware most of the reviews and all the pictures are actually of Plaza del Quinto Centario which is actually adjacent to Plaza San Jose. Plaza San Jose is a basic square with San Jose Church (currently under renovation) and a statue of Juan Ponce.
As part of your walking tour of Old San Juan - This stop in the Plaza San Jose is nice for a rest to see the totem and fountain. Plan on a quick stop.
