We are a golf course located in the former Ramey Base in Aguadilla Puerto Rico . It was the first public golf course on the island founded in 1940. Located on the northwest coast , this par 72 , offers a panoramic view of the point where the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea meet . Designed in 1939 by Ferdinand Garvin starting with 9 holes for the enjoyment of the military air force. Punta Borinquen Golf Club overlooks one of the most beautiful sunsets and ocean views in Puerto Rico . Seasonal golfers have the opportunity to see whales in the beautiful and warm Atlantic Ocean. Come and visit us , where the challenge of the wind take you to finish the 18 holes. Our employees work in a friendly and casual environment where the idea is to provide the warmth that distinguishes our Puerto Rican hospitality .

Tricky, Scenic Layout

This is the old Ramey AFB golf course and like most military layouts is abundantly forgiving. There is a lot of room off the tee. But the ground is so rock hard everything rolls... read more

This is the old Ramey AFB golf course and like most military layouts is abundantly forgiving. There is a lot of room off the tee. But the ground is so rock hard everything rolls forever so we managed to lose a few balls anyway. The greens are the best part. They have nice grass on them as opposed to hard... More

A great way to spend an afternoon playing golf. The course itself was in need of some work. Fairways look like an early spring late fall course in right before winter hits. Everything but the greens were hard and you could almost count on at least 10 extra yards per shot with the roll outs. I don't think there was... More

Certainly not kept at resort standards. A rough finish reminiscent of Irish links. Layout not dissimilar to Kiawah Ocean with most of windswept holes with a view of the ocean . Staff very friendly and at $37 with cart a great 4 hours

This golf course could be one awesome gem if ownership put more time and money into it. The ocean hole views are awesome, course layout is great and challenging. The course was in pretty bad shape, greens and fairways are less than desired. Great for something to do for a couple of hours if you enjoy playing the game and... More

Let me just preface this by saying I live in PR. now, according to my golf teacher this course was beautiful in the 70's. It used to be run by the US Military. Now unfortunately is is run by the locals. The views are still nice, it is cool when the jets come in to land, and we have spotted... More

We played here 2x durin our recent trip to the NW coast fo Puerto Rico. If you are looking for something to do the course is moer than adequate. It is short but the wind plays a BIG role in the game. The views are very impressive. Greens are so so as I have found in most island golf. Club... More

I've been playing Punta Borinquen on and off since 1972. The layout and views are fantastic. The course condition is a7-8. Fast greensand not flat. For the price you can't beat it. Tom Brown
