Going to Floyd’s Pelican Bar is definitely something to brag about since it is 1 of only 6 bars out in the middle of the ocean. This bar looks like is made all of driftwood which is sitting on a sandbar about a mile off shore in the middle of the ocean ~ very unique. We got there by taking... More

Had a wonderful time! We had our names engraved by one of the locals and gave him a tip which he appreciated. We were then served a type of lobster stir fry with beans and rice for lunch which was delightful. Incredible location and breathtaking views not to forget some of the local art inside the bar itself.

Very cool, not to be missed! A driftwood bar in the middle of the Caribbean. So unique. Dolphins swimming next to the catamaran, pelicans coming close. Beautiful!

After several trips to "duh Yard", two THIS YEAR,.....girlfriend & I finally made it to PELICAN BAR We are adventurous so, I must say it's worth the trip. 2 hour drive from Hanover (Bloody Bay Beach area), Sunset@thePalms where our driver took us to the small fishing village of Black River. From there,...he arranged for one of the fishermen with... More

I love the concept of this... a bar in the middle of the ocean. Although we got ripped off on our boat ride at $25/pp, it was fun. Food seemed kind of pricy too considering this is just a shack on the water ($15 for some average fish, with rice + peas). Beer was $4.

Top line: well worth the trip, spectacular place to visit, the food was meh. My wife and I took at 2-hour ride through the beautiful Jamaican countryside along the west coast from Negril to St Elizabeth to go to Floyd's, and I'm glad we did. The drive was wonderful, as always, stopping along the way for Red Stripes as necessary.... More

I had been waiting years to go to Floyd's and to be honest I wasn't really impressed. We thoroughly enjoyed the first 30 mins as there were only a few other ppl there. But when the Sandals boats arrived it became overwhelming. They were everywhere and loud. Totally changed the vibe of the place. So we left without even having... More

My Fiancé and I took a 2 hour catamaran ride to Floyds Pelican Bar. It was such an amazing place. Floyd was so welcoming. We had our names carved into the driftwood, had a few drinks and my fiancé had their freshly caught lobster lunch. He loved it. We were able to go in the water around the bar, it... More

Floyd the owner is always welcoming and polite. If you plan on eating it's best to call him first and place your order. Best for sunset and if you are lucky you will see dolphins. Very rustic
