My wife and I are on our honeymoon at Sandals South coast and had heard about the famous Floyd's Pelican Bar. It was exactly as it should be. Rustic. Floyd himself was there manning the music powered by a car battery. They have a small...More

Myself and my son visited here in combination of a full day excursion which also included YS Falls and Black River Safari. The water is beautiful. Once you get there you can get into the water, it's not deep probably about 4 feet. They do...More

Been going to Floyd's for 15 years. Take the boat ride, call ahead to order lobster, jack or snapper and just go and relax. Floyd and his staff are just nice fun people. And from getting there to being there it is just a fun...More

It was a lovely boat trip across the bay from the dock at Black River. When out there it was too rough to swim but I could see it might be awesome if the conditions were good. There are all sorts of curious things left...More

Seriously this bar has more character than any other bar in the world I mean the fact it's out a mile into the ocean speaks for itself! Lots of weed there already and everyone is super friendly

Used 'Rasta' George to transport us from the land to the bar-15 minute trip. Bar was great. Nice cold beer and to cool off a little, a dip in the sea was great. Names carved in the frame of the bar, so we are there...More

I visited the Pelican Bar with a couple other members of my family. We had a very good time. Do pack your water shoes for the trip. The water around the bar is shallow and the ocean floor is not very nice to your feet....More

I agree with CHelsea. And it depends on how old the kids are. There were 4 kids there when i was there but around the ages of 15. It's really just about drinking beer in the middle of the ocean.
