Shaw Park Botanical Gardens was beautiful and a highlight of our cruise. There were so many pretty plants and flowers, a pretty waterfall, and a nice panoramic view of Ocho Rios. Our guide, Richard, was very kind and knowledgeable. He took pictures of all of us on the tour with our own cameras. If you like plants and flowers, we'd... More

The Shaw park is very beautiful - it has so many types of trees, plants and flowers. It even has a scenic waterfall. This was an amazing park which was much more beautiful than we expected it to be. Definitely a must see when you visit Ocho Rios, Jamaica. Our guide was very knowledgeable and funny! Overall we loved the... More

These days Shaw Park is off the beaten track, and seems to be little visited, except perhaps when there is a cruise ship in. It's a real shame - these gardens are quite special. None of your formal planting but fascinating tropical plants and trees, fabulous landscaping around the waterfalls and hints of the faded grandeur of the hotel around... More

Beautiful peaceful gardens definitely worth a visit. We were shown round by Richard who was so informative about both the history of the park and the plants. The gardens themselves are a mixture of a wide variety of plants, a spectacular waterfall an amazing Banyan tree and the remains of an old swimming pool. When we visited we were the... More

I enjoyed being at Shaw Park Garden, lots of trees, flowers, it was just relaxing. The place was just cool and filled my lungs with exquisite air, wish I didn't have to leave. OMG!!! The falls, the water falls, I have no word for this, I am trying to make up my own word but I dont want to spoil... More

We asked our shuttle driver to take us to Shaw Park Gardens but detoured next door to Konoko Falls; we weren't disappointed with KF, but after reading the review of Shaw Park, i'm sorry we didn't stick to our plan because we're avid garden and bird admirers; Next time we visit JA, we're definitely going to Shaw Park -- it... Shaw Park Gardens are the gardens of former hotel and are now a park/botanic garden. There are many trees, flowering shrubs and plants. A feast of colour. Our guide, Ronald Hawthorne was excellent. A former gardener at the park with a great knowledge of the plants and history of the gardens. The waterfall is stunning. Not as spectacular as Dunns... More
