This is a beautiful place to host a wedding reception or party. It gives you the option of being able to dance on the lawn and then walk down to the beach and take pictures by the water. This is a very romantic spot, but can also be a great spot to hang out friends and family. However, this spot... More

You may also see this advertised as the "Luminous Lagoon", supposedly for its look in the evening depending upon weather conditions. We were going to stop before leaving Jamaica the next day from Montego Bay. But the price of $35 US per person did not make the risk seem worthwhile.

Laughing Waters was a beautiful estate. There was a lovely water fall where you could take pictures. The beach was private, nice and quiet. I was there for a private beach party. There was a DJ offered along with food and drinks. You were able to put your beach towel down and relax.

Went to Laughing Waters as a guest at an event. It is truly a stunning location. The views and beach are simply idyllic. Not all areas of the house were accessible so it seemed a bit small and one thing that detracted was not having wi-fi, not because I wanted to be checking emails but because I had planned to... Why do Jamaicans let their politicians commandeer the most fabulous real estate for themselves, the Chinese and other self oriented investors... This gem is surely one of those exquisite appropriations.... the real estate is breath taking... small cataracts tumbling into the Caribbean blue with verdant hills and tropical forest surroundings ... only people who really understand this feng shui should... I got married at Laughing Waters last year. I have to say, the place was absolutely breath taking. The beach was beautiful, we had access to the guest house, which was also beautiful. The thing that I like best was that the beach is very private, I was able to enjoy my day with privacy.

I have been going to Laughing Waters since the early 1960s, when most of Jamaica was still pristine. Today this tranquil, quaint, haunting little spot, may be all that's left of natural Jamaica. Throughout the heat drunken summers of the 70s and 80s, with its forever balmy breezes, bubbling falls, and rustling leaves, Laughing Waters was my oasis in time and... More

If you like a long stretch of remote beach for barefoot walking, clear ocean swimming, scenic turbulent waterfalls, photographing awesome nature at it's best, untouched, this is the place to be. This land has been "protected" from tourists and locals entering, which is sad, but also why it is well-preserved. There are plans to destroy this area to build yet... More

Not open to the public, so couldn't see it. If you want to rent the property, it's yours to see. But we're had our own private beach, so we didn't bother.

Early in the morning we got a chap called Linton to take us along the coast to Laughing Waters by boat. We passed by endless empty beaches and forested coastline, apparently the setting for quite a few James Bond films - it's certainly easy to imagine Ursula Andress emerging from the waves. At the mouth of the river there is... More
