Very nice clean private beach, clean facilities, lots of locals, sugar cane and fried fish etc. No one to bother you unlike being in the resort area, i'm returning in June 2017 and this beach is definately on my agenda of things to do.

This is a beach in St Catherine. It is one of the closer beaches to Kingston. It attracts an cover fee giving it private status. It has a seafood restaurant. It also has changing rooms and rest rooms. Ensure that you are not hungry as the food takes quiet a long time to be prepared. It would be great if... More

Loved this beach, crystal clear water, white sand, few people, even less tourists. One thing I miss, a real bar or restaurant. There is a fish place, and some may love that but I really don't like fish that way. Still, awesome!!

I enjoy my visits to Fort Clarence although I try not to go during the holidays as it get very crowded and the restaurants have challenges dealing with the crowd. On a normal weekend or for a during the week escape its guaranteed to be great. Good food, very relaxing and always a cold beer!

Our last beach day was at Fort Clarence. Great beach with shade, nice benches and a couple of restaurants. I was sorry to see so much garbage washed up on shore though.

Hidden away in Kingston, a good cultural experience, just caught fish cooked before your eyes served with delicious bammy bread. Kick off your shoes, lay back and soak up the sun. TIP: Bring some change to hire beach chair.

I have been to Fort Clarence many times to get away from the tourist spots. Unlike the neighboring Hellshire Beach which is free, Fort Clarence requires a small fee to park and for the upkeep. Fort Clarence is better maintained than Hellshire and is also popular if you want to meet or submerge yourself with the locals. The food was... More
